My neighborhood has regulations about putting antennas on my roof. Do I need permission?
Community associations, such as homeowners’ associations, do not have the authority to regulate the installation of wireless devices on a private residence (FCC amendment 00-366 pertaining to Section 207 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996). This ruling allows the home owner or renter to install wireless equipment regardless of the covenants, code, and restrictions (CC&Rs) that may cover a neighborhood.
