Why does my connection still seem slow?

There are many factors governing how quickly the information you request is downloaded to your computer and displayed on your screen. EarthLink’s high-speed technology makes your Internet connection lightning fast; however other factors, such as heavy traffic to the site you want, can slow this process down. But with EarthLink High Speed, content from those sites is the only thing you have to wait for.

How secure is my Internet connection?
EarthLink’s high speed technology uses strong encryption from the modem over the wireless network to the Internet.

Do you block outgoing connections on port 25?
Yes. This is to prevent the use of email servers not owned and managed by EarthLink to forward unwanted SPAM emails. .
